NILS Japanese Language School, Fukuoka area:
Experience Japanese culture first-hand and improve your Japanese language skills by studying with NILS Japanese Language School in the Fukuoka area of south-west Japan, only an hour by air from Tokyo and Osaka. We provide a range of long-term (1-2 years) and short-term (4-12 weeks) Japanese language courses to students from all over the world. We have two campuses: our long-term Japanese programs take place at our Ogori City campus (about 30 minutes from Fukuoka City), and our short-term programs are held at our Central Fukuoka City campus. We ensure that all of our students will truly be able to experience real Japanese lifestyle and culture.

Long-Term Japanese Courses:

Intensive 1-year Japanese Program
Full-time course for students from Beginner to Intermediate Level

The main purpose of this course is to improve your Japanese Language skills quickly. Our class lessons will cover all skills – reading, listening, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and speaking with correct pronunciation. After only one year, you will be able to talk about your daily life, your family and friends, express your dreams, etc. using a variety of expressions and phrases in natural Japanese. Even after studying Japanese for only one year, you will be able to apply for universities and colleges. You can also learn about a lot of Japanese culture and traditions during your study in Japan. Enrollment for this course is in October.

Intensive 1.5-year Japanese Program
Full-time course from Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced Level

This course is designed for international students who would like to attend higher educational facilities, such as universities, colleges, or vocational schools in Japan. Students learn speaking, listening, writing, and the reading of the Japanese Language. These courses include regular lessons, JLPT and EJU preparation, and cultural activities throughout the year. Quite a number of the students master up to intermediate level of daily conversation in three months.

Intensive 2-year Japanese Program
Full-time course from Beginner to Advanced Level

With enrollment in April, this course is designed for international students who would like to attend higher educational facilities, such as universities, colleges, or vocational schools in Japan. These courses include regular lessons, JLPT and EJU preparation, and cultural activities throughout the year. Students learn speaking, listening, writing, and the reading of the Japanese Language. There is an average of 15-20 students per class.

Short-Term Japanese Courses:

General Japanese Courses (4-12 weeks)
This program is designed for students who would like to advance their skill of speaking and listening to Japanese in a short period of time. You can register from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks according to your convenience. Our short-term Japanese programs are available to students of all levels - from beginner to advanced. Both weekday and evening classes are available. Placement tests (written and oral) will be given to the student on the first day of the program in order to assign student into appropriate level of the class. One can learn an assortment of phrases and expressions frequently used in everyday life and on the business scene in Japan.

Japanese Summer Program
Our Japanese summer programs combine quality Japanese language classes with lots of fun activities. Experience the Japanese culture first-hand through the many traditional festival and events everywhere in Japan, especially in the summer season.

Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Preparation
NILS offers specialized, intensive courses taught by experienced trainers whose aim is to help you pass the JLPT exam.

Homestay with a Japanese Host Family
Staying with a local Japanese family will be a great opportunity for you to learn the culture and traditions while improving your Japanese. Your needs or preferences also will be taken into account when arranging families. All host families are located within one hour from school by public transport.
