About Us:
Madrelingua is a family-owned Italian language school. The advantages of studying at a family-owned business are obvious. There's always someone to listen to you and help you if there's a problem. The owners have a personal stake in the success of your language learning, and what's more, as experienced language learners themselves, are always available to help guide you through the ups and downs of acquiring a foreign language, or offer a friendly word of advice.
Bologna is a beautiful medieval city, little visited by tourists and with an excellent quality of life. It's famous for its food, and for its covered porticoes. While you're here you can easily and cheaply visit other major Italian cities such as Florence (less than an hour away by train) Venice (just two hours north) and Rome (under three hours). There are also plenty of local attractions, though if you're not in the mood for going anywhere particular, you can just wander through Bologna's beautiful medieval streets, visit one of its many museums, or indulge yourself shopping - Bologna has shops to suit all budgets, from the twice-weekly street market to the most fashionable designer boutiques. And in the evenings, there are literally hundreds of bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as theatres, cinemas, live music venues and piazzas which are perfect for just hanging out in!
