Situated just 5km from Italy's Adriatic coast, 2 hours east of Rome, Nuova Arcadia School of Italian Language and Italian Culture provides beginner to advanced level Italian language and culture courses to foreign students.
Our school is situated in Casalbordino, a lovely little town of about 6000 residents on the Adriatic sea coast. It stands on wonderful hills and it is situated just 5 kilometers away from the Adriatic sea.
Although the town is modern and comfortable, it preserved the atmosphere of an Italian old town, with all the things that made our nation famous in the world and known as “Dolce Vita ”: the espresso in cafès, the function in the Church on Sundays, the religious rituals, and the big lunches and with its beach full of people during summer.
The surrounding area is also characteristic: historic towns, wineries, countryside, beaches, parks and nature reserves are suitable for activities such as trekking, equitation, nature and cultural tours, mountain biking, windsurfing ...
Besides, Casalbordino is situated in the centre of Italy and on the coast, so it is linked with important and famous cities like Rome, Florence, Pescara, Vasto etc. by train or bus.

Casalbordino and Abruzzo are in a privileged position, as they are located in central Italy a few kilometers from the main cities and tourist centers of Italy.
Rome with its airport is not far, it takes just two and a half hours by car or by bus. Pescara is connected with scheduled and low cost flights with major European cities, and it takes just 40 minutes by train, by car or by bus.
• By car:
- From the highway A14:
Take the exit called Casalbordino/vasto Nord (direction Ancona from North; direction Pescara from south). Carry on to the SS364 following the direction: CASALBORDINO.
• By Bus:
- From Fiumicino Airport (Rome):
From Terminal 3 (arrival exit) turn right for about 30 yards to the bus station. Take the bus called “Di carlo” or “prontobus” for CASALBORDINO/VASTO NORD
- From Ciampino airport and from Rome city center:
at Tiburtina station take “Di Fonzo” bus to CASALBORDINO/VASTO NORD.
• By Train:
- From Fiumicino Airport (Rome):
Take a train from the railways station of Fiumicino (inside airport) on the line FR1 for Roma Tiburtina. From Tiburtina railway station take a train to Pescara. From Pescara railway station take a local train to Casalbordino railway station.
- From Pescara Airport:
Take the bus number 38 from the airport to the railway station. From the railway station of Pescara take a local train to Casalbordino.
