The Harris School, Houston:
Conveniently located in downtown Houston TX, The Harris School offers a specialized curriculum for at-risk children from Preschool through Grade 8 who are typically average to above average intellectually, are not functioning at their full potential due to underlying social or emotional difficulties, and have needs that are not being met in a traditional school setting. Our program is designed for children who are experiencing anxiety or depression, have suffered trauma, or those diagnosed with ADHD, PDD, SID, ODD, Bipolar Disorder, Tourette Syndrome or Asperger’s Disorder.
The Harris School began in 1996 as a preschool, developed after many years of hard work by several dedicated members of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute and funded by donations from generous benefactors. It was named after one of its founders, board member, outstanding contributor, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Hunter Harris, M.D.

Our program is accredited through SACS/CASI (The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/ Council on Accreditation and School Improvement).

The Kinkaid School is a non-sectarian, college preparatory day school located in Houston in Harris County, Texas, enrolling a total of 1,280 boys and girls in grades pre-kindergarten through to 12th. Kinkaid's students range in age from four years to eighteen years. Located in Garrison Park in South Austin in Travis County, Texas, Strickland Christian School serves grade K4 to 8th students from Sunset Valley, Garrision Park, Oak Hill, Shady Hollow, West Congress and surrounding South Austin communities. In the early 1960’s, Corine Strickland began teaching first grade in Texas with her own phonics and memory program.
