In this hands-on course, you will start with basic HTML and CSS skills for web site design including: folder management, creating web pages, hyperlinks, images, graphical buttons, thumbnails, text formatting with CSS, table gallery layouts, slide shows, CSS driven layout, multi-column liquid CSS layouts, CSS driven navigation bars using styled HTML lists, uploading, and more.

While this course emphasizes standards-based hand coding, some of the automated features in Dreamweaver including JavaScript rollovers, site management etc. will be covered. Some automated Flash-based photo gallery scripts and related Photoshop CS5 will also be covered.

Learn how to assess a client's needs and create appropriate solutions by applying:
- Interaction/interface design (making a web site easy & pleasurable to use)
- Information design (making large amounts of information useful and understandable)
- Functional design (deciding what technologies are best used)

You will learn to:
- Create, or adapt media, to be played within the strict limitations of any number of platforms
- Create the graphics used in multimedia applications and content
- Write computer instructions that make things happen
