Garden Design School in France

Garden Design Academy:
The Garden Design Academy is located in a renovated 18th century mansion in the small market town of Chabris, on the river Cher. Part of the beautiful and historic Loire Valley region of central France, we are at the crossroads of the Touraine wine growing district, the lakes and forests of the Sologne and the open fields of the Berry. Paris is just a little over 2 hours away by train or car.

When visiting, students are taken to visit the famous chateaux and gardens of the Loire and perhaps one of the many garden and plant festivals.

Location and Facilities:

The Garden Design Academy building is mostly 18th century but parts date from the 16th century. Residential students stay in the main house, with lessons in the Garden Room or the Rose Cottage wing.

The Saturday market in Chabris is just a few minutes walk and is popular with locals and students alike.

The annual Chaumont Festival of Gardening is a "must see" event for students of the Garden Design Academy residential courses.
