"In 1996 God had brought me to a time in my Christian life that I was searching for His clear direction for His will for my life and He led me to North Henry Academy. I taught kindergarten for six years followed by four years in first grade, finding that the students and teaching brought tremendous joy to my life. I knew in May of 2005 God had been preparing my heart to accept the Principal/Administrator position for North Henry Academy. I strive to continually grow a strong ministry for the students and families the Lord sends to North Henry Academy. God continues to equip NHA with excellent teachers and support staff to accomplish His will for NHA. I look forward to the future as we continue to grow Godly men and women here at North Henry Academy."

The school was founded in 1964 when a group of parents opened the first integrated non-sectarian non-profit preschool in Augusta. It was the only preschool with an ‘open door’ policy and was entirely administered by the parents.
