Montessori Children's School of Key West:
The Montessori Children's School of Key West is a child-centered Montessori school offering early childhood education programs to todders and preschoolers aged between 18 months and 6 years of age. We are currently located on a corner block in “old town” Key West in Monroe County, South Florida. In addition to our preschool programs, we offer after-school child care and enrichment programs.

Montessori programs for children ages 18 months - 6 years:

Pre-primary program (18 months - 3 years):
The Curriculum for our pre-primary program reflects the belief that each child is respected as unique. With this in mind, we apply appropriate methods of guidance based on human development and observation. This approach will provide opportunities for your child to explore, experiment and play, developing at his or her own pace.

The curriculum will include developmentally appropriate activities in the following areas: Art; Geography; Grace & Courtesy; Language; Music & Movement; Practical Life; Pre Math; Science; Sensorial

Enrichment Program:
The Montessori Children’s School of Key West offers an additional after school Enrichment Program for our Primary Students several times during the school year. This program is a wonderful way to utilize our diverse and artistic community to help broaden the educational horizons of our students. They give our students the opportunity for instruction in subjects that might not be incorporated during our regular school day. Past classes have included Spanish, Art, Yoga and Music. Classes begin immediately after dismissal at 2:45 p.m. Our enrichment classes come at an additional nominal cost with sign-ups on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

After-school child care:
Montessori Children’s School of Key West offers a dynamic after school care program to all currently enrolled students. The hours of the program are 2:30pm – 5:30pm. Students are dismissed from their classrooms directly in to the Aftercare program.
