Broadstairs English Centre is located in Broadstairs, Kent, Southeast England, just 90 minutes from London, 35 minutes from Dover Ferry Port and 40 minutes from the Eurostar Terminal. We offer general and intensive English courses, English for business as well as exam preparation courses. We focus on quality of teaching and incorporating students into the social and cultural aspects of living in a traditional English town. Our centre is the perfect place to study English courses in a relaxing and traditional seaside town. As we are smaller than other centres, our teachers can really get to know the students making their stay more personal and productive for their language learning. As class numbers are kept small, you will benefit from more contact with your teacher and therefore more focus on your English learning needs. More importantly, the learning experience does not stop outside the classroom.
General English:
This course is designed to cover a diverse subject area and help you develop a range of skills. Whether it is functional, grammatical, lexical or focusing on speaking, listening, writing or listening skills, we have excellent resoursces to help you progress quickly.
The course uses up-to-date material and is designed to be as interactive as possible. Discussions and topics will often focus on current affairs using newspaper articles/websites/documentaries, (dependent on level of English).
Rather than the use of one core text book, we carefully select the best and most appropriate material from a range of up-to-date course books from l
eading publishers. This way we can specifically tailor the course to your needs and more importanly, target the lesson material to suit your level.
Business English:
Our business course differs from our general English course by practising key skills in the language area of your specific business sector. Therefore, if you are in marketing, for example, your course will be designed to include listening, presentation material and vocabulary specifically associated with the language used in marketing.
This course can help you progress rapidly and build the key language you need to use in your everyday business life. We use up-to-date material and crucially are teachers stay up-to-date with what is happening in your business sector.

Exam Preparation:
Our course programme combines general English in the morning with afternoon exam preparation sessions.
Therefore whether you are studying for the Cambridge First Certficate/Advanced, TOEIC or Abitur examinations, you can benefit from key exam techniques, up-to-date exam coursebooks for focused practice and actual past practice exam papers.
Your teacher will mark and give feedback on all of your exam work/practice papers and homework.
This course offers a great balance between more general English practice in the mornings and focused exam study in the afternoon sessions - this means that the exam preparation is not too stressful! Students also benefit from our excellent social programme outside of the classroom. If students wish to choose extra exam sessions in the afternoon, it may be possible if classes are not full.
