Citiwide Computer Training Center in Washington DC is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping underprivileged people acquire the skills they need to succeed in our high-tech world. By signing up for an on-site or online course, you are helping us help those who lack the skills to earn a living wage. We offer end-user and advanced technical training for businesses and individuals both on-site and online.
About Us:
CitiWide Computer Training Center (CitiWide) is a nonprofit community-based organization in Washington, D.C. Since inception in 1993, we have trained and provided services to over 10,500 individuals from low-income and underserved communities in the District. We provide training in Computer Technology, English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Literacy and General Education Diploma (GED). Additionally our organization conducts an After-School Program for children ages 7 to 18 years as well as a Summer Youth Program for young adults.
Our Mission:
To use information technology to close the digital divide between the haves and the have-nots and help low-income families reach their educational potentials and improve their socio-economic conditions.
Technology Integration:
In all our programs, technology is integrated across the curriculum in order to meet the ever increasing need for workers with appropriate skills for our technology-dependent workplace. Graduates from our training center are empowered to continue their education or go to work in a variety of challenging information technology or academic fields. Our vision is to train tomorrow’s workforce today. We strive to sustain our organization by conducting ourselves professionally and ethically. CitiWide employs skillful and dedicated staff and taps into the community for experienced and committed volunteers to help in attaining our vision.
