East Lake Academy, Lake Forest:
Founded in 2001 as a Roman Catholic school of academic excellence, East Lake Academy focuses on the academic and spiritual wellbeing of each student. We are situated in Lake Forest (located in Lake County in Illinois and part of Chicagoland and the North Shore). We educate children from pre-kindergarten through to eighth grade. We are dedicated to forming the whole child by providing the highest level of academics.
East Lake Academy began as an idea in 2000 when the founding families of East Lake Academy realizing the need for an additional Catholic school in Lake County, set out to open the second NCE school in the Chicago area.
By fall 2001, East Lake Academy was formed as a private school based on the Catholic tradition. In the fall of 2002, we acquired land in West Lake Forest, constructed our current facility and expanded to include pre-kindergarten for ages 3 - 4 years and grades one through to four. We currently educate children from three years old through to grade eight with plans to add a high school in the future.
The mission of East Lake Academy is to provide our students with an integral formation to develop them as Christian leaders. The East Lake student should be a young person of integrity and character who commands an appropriate wealth of knowledge of his faith, the humanities, and the sciences. The student should display critical discernment and possess a disposition to service. Our educational program of integral formation consists of three essential elements: teaching, educating and forming.

East Lake Academy's educational model focuses on four main pillars of formation:

* Spiritual (a responsible catechesis afforded to each child which focuses on the 'why' behind the doctrine of the Catholic Church)
* Apostolic (how is it the child will utilize cultivated gifts and talents for the benefit of others)
East Lake Academy adheres to the belief each child is entitled to personal attention from his or her respective instructor, and therefore each grade level is capped at 15 students.

The Einstein Academy is a school for academically talented students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through to High School located in Elgin, a suburb approximately 40 miles north-west of Chicago in Kane County in north-eastern Illinois, close to Naperville and Aurora (One block south of I-90 and Route 31 on Davis Road in Elgin). Our accelerated curriculum is taught one year in advance, but our children our encouraged to learn at the level that most challenges their minds. The Paintbrush, opened in 2005, is a children's art studio owned by sisters Melanie and Mindy Apel in Lakeview on the North Side of Chicago, Cook County, IL. At The Paintbrush, kids do more than just paint. Starting at 18 months old, kids learn about famous artists, listen to music and create their own inspired works of art and projects inspired by the artists' styles. The Paintbrush offers a selection of classes geared to different ages along with workshops and summer camp. Classes are ongoing, so kids can join anytime.
The mission of The Paintbrush is to introduce young children to the wonderful world of art. The main goal is to teach kids to love art and have an understanding of the artists they study and whose works inspire their own creations.
