Metropolitan College:
Metropolitan College (MC), located in downtown Hamilton (45 minutes South West of Toronto), Ontario, Canada, is an English language school offering ESL programs to international students both online and at our school. We aim to provide the most intensive, enjoyable and effective programs possible.

Intensive English program:
This is our main program that focuses on improving your English communication skills. We focus on English conversation but pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and grammar skills, idioms, and modern slang are also taught. Our teachers use a wide variety of teaching methods and a multi-media approach to help you master English. All levels of English are welcome.

Summer Programs:
Come and study English enjoying Canadian cultural activities and entertainment during your summer break. Study English in a FUN environment where English classes mix with adventure and awesome activities. Students of all ages are welcome to participate. Class sizes of 3 - 50 are welcome! All levels of English are welcome.

Homestay Programs:
We provide economical, safe, friendly and convenient accommodations for students. All accommodations are located in friendly neighbourhoods and are near the school or close to public transportation. A secure, friendly Canadian family is ready to adopt you into their house and life. You will receive a furnished room in the house - the room includes a bed, desk and dresser. Students always have their own room and do not share it with other students. Homestay families undergo security checks to ensure each home is safe. Care is taken to ensure that the culture the international student has been raised in is accepted and respected. Our homestay families do not view students as a business. Students are viewed as family member.

Our Work Internship Program (volunteer) will build on the English you learn in the classroom by getting real-life communication practice in a professional environment. We make sure each student is placed with a company that fits his/her goals, educational background, personality and career interests. Students complete Volunteer Internships with Canadian companies in Hamilton or the greater Hamilton / Toronto area. Students are able to gather experience and knowledge that will be especially helpful to learn about various careers. Students must study at least 4 weeks with us prior to beginning a placement.
