We believe each student has many strengths and abilities and it is our responsibility to encourage them to function at the highest level possible. Our academic calendar runs from May to March with some short-term program options for either the summer or winter season. At CSBA, goals are established for each program and curricula are set to meet those goals. Technical and general classes are also offered.

Our former graduates have gone on to be ski and snowboard instructors and sports trainers all over the world as they receive international certifications through our programs. Many of our athlete graduates are still competing at the professional level and attribute much of their successes to the learning environment at CSBA with its surrounding world class mountain resort and active community of Whistler.

About Us:

Photo of English & Sports School in CanadaCanadian Sports Business Academy (CSBA) is a school dedicated exclusively to educating students in the fields of sports and business. Located in beautiful Whistler in the southern Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains, BC, approximately 125 kilometres (78 miles) north of Vancouver (host city of the 2010 winter Olympics), we offer sports instructor programs, athlete programs, as well as summer kids sports camps. All programs are supported with ESL classes for non-native English speakers. We aim not only to instill sports techniques, but also language and the basics of business, in order to develop young people who will be able to actively participate in the sports business world. CSBA's philosophy is to discover individual needs and encourage each individual to their maximum potential.

CSBA has been a registered member of PCTIA for over 10years.  We work hard to maintain our basic educational standards and operate a safe and structured learning environment for our students.

Our Philosophy:

Image of English & Sports School in CanadaWhile CSBA stands for our school name, each letter also represents our 4-step instructional philosophy: Cycle, Strength, Balance & Action. By applying the knowledge of the 4-step philosophy, students will gain valuable experience not only in sports technique, but also English communication and business skills.

C- Cycle:  centrifugal force, the fulcrum theory and the importance of repetition
S- Strength:  power, endurance
B-Balance:  refining and aligning the acquired skills
A-Action:  using acquired skills in a real life context

The above 4 steps outline CSBA's philosophy.  Whether it be learning sport technique (golf, skiing, snowboarding, tennis...) or academics (English, business, computer skills...), the students will be able to obtain these skills within a short period of time through teamwork, detailed curricula, top-notch facilities and  with the constant support of the academy's advisory staff, teachers, instructors and lecturers.
