IPMI Business School, Jakarta:
The IPMI Business School is an independent, English-based and practitioner-oriented Indonesian business school devoted to excellence in business management education and research and offers both undergraduate & graduate degree programs including MBA programs, as well as a number of professional certification programs to both Indonesian & international students. IPMI Business School is located in Kalibata in Pancoran, a sub-district of South Jakarta (Jakarta Selatan). South Jakarta is one of the 5 cities of Jakarta on the north-west coast of Java (Indonesian Island). IPMI has the distinction of being the first business school in Indonesia to offer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with English as the language of learning and the use of Harvard Case Study learning method. IPMI has graduated highly competent MBAs and MMs.
Academic Programs:
Undergraduate Degree Programs (Regular & International Classes):
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration (8 Semesters):
By taking the B.A. in Business Administration program, students are provided with logical structure in understanding the big picture and the context for entering several fields, and problem solving skills in the corporate world. This program requires interaction to share and solve management issues.
- Transfer Student Program (TSP):
It’s a fact that many Indonesian people already have a Diploma III (D3) and jobs. They understand holding a D3 is not enough these days to compete with others. Therefore, they are willing to continue their study by achieving a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. in Business Administration / Strata 1). Continuing study is not an easy thing to do.
Duration: 18 to 24 months / 3 Semesters (it may subject to change based on the transferable credits). Night Classes (Monday-Friday).
Graduate Degree Programs:
- Master of Management (MM) / Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program:
There are at least four good reasons why you should invest in a management degree: To learn the nuts and bolts of business, to qualify as a professional manager, to prepare for senior management positions and to work anywhere in the world.
Executive MM / MBA Program:
* Program in General Management: Saturday Classes - 24 Months (Require minimum 5 years of working experience).
Regular MM / MBA Program:
* Program in General Management
* Program in Financial Analysis and Investment Banking (FAIB)
Evening Class - 24 Months (Require minimum 2 years of working experience)
Full Time MM / MBA Program:
* Program in General Management (Require 0-2 years of working experience)
- Finance and Investment Management (FIM):
Recognizing the potentially dramatic influence of the financial market transformation on the Indonesian domestic markets and being well aware of myriad of teaching-learning programs in the field of financial management in campuses around the world already available, IPMI feels that there is still a genuine need for a concise MM Finance and Investment Management (FIM) Program that serves the needs of both the novice and senior participants.
Duration: 2 years.
Dual Degree Programs:
- Dual Degree SE / BBM - Undergraduate:
IPMI Undergraduate Program has a dual degree program with Burgundy School of Business from France. The dual degree in IPMI Business School gives the students the opportunity to obtain a “Sarjana Ekonomi" degree from IPMI Business School and a "Bachelor of Business and Marketing" from ESC Dijon, France, one of IPMI’s partners, in just 3 (three) years.
The dual degree program prepares students who seek growth and maintain competitive edge in this globalization era. Students will experience problem-based-learning and consist of case studies, seminars, guest lectures by professionals and business leaders, internship and individual final project.
- Dual Degree MM FIM / Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Graduate:
This dual degree option makes it possible for students to earn the degrees in less time than it would take to earn them separately. It takes 2 years for both the executive and regular program and one year for the full-time program.
Non Degree (Professional Certification) Programs:
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Preparatory Program:
To become a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) means to become an internationally recognized professional in Management Accounting. It is also becoming a member of The Institute for Certified Management Accountants (ICMA), a certified world-class professional organization dedicated to the provision of value - creating information to management.
- Executive Development Program:
The program has been developed as the answer to various requests from industries for high quality management education relevant to their needs. The content of each program is up to date, practical, and applicable of future developments and business problems.
- Single Subject Program:
IPMI Business School offers a program for prospective students who do not have the time, but want to improve and sharpen their skills on a certain area, or just simply to refresh themselves by taking specific courses.
- Graduate Certificate Program:
A program designed for those who are willing to improve and develop in a specific aspect such as Human Resource, Marketing, Business Management and others. Students will be able to choose one of the aspects they’d like to focus on without taking unnecessary classes.
Harvard Business School Case-Study:
IPMI Business School's curriculum has been accustomed rapidly to the changes of the concepts and practices in business. Like Harvard Business School, IPMI Business School primarily is a case-study business school. It relies on case studies from Harvard, INSEAD, and IPMI Business School itself as the method of learning. The usage of cases or the ratio between cases and conceptual framework varies depending on the course subjects and programs.
Excellent Curriculum:
The international and practitioner-oriented curriculum has been enabling the students to pursue an international business management career upon graduation. An integrated part of the curriculum is the Group Field Project (GFP) or Research Project (RP). Students have the opportunity to implement what they have learned in class to business problems through the GFP. Working in a team and under the supervision of the faculty, students are assigned to work as teams of consultants to companies, which are having management problems.
English Delivery:
IPMI Business School classes are delivered in English which provides the students with applicable skills and encourage confidence in international business environment.
