World of Fairy Tales Productions, Vancouver BC:
The World of Fairy Tales is an international school of speech, arts and drama conveniently located in Vancouver, BC offering year-round programs for all ages, and a summer camp program. Our acting school provides a variety of programs for different age groups. Our very little kids (5-6 years old) are learning Artistic Development Skills, then they can continue with the Speech Arts and Drama group (6-8 years old) and follow all the programs until the age of 18. We are very proud of our students who can get an extra 4 credits towards their High School Diploma for the “Speech Arts and Drama” course.

Speech, Arts & Drama Programs (Year-Round Programs For All Ages):

* Daycare Programs / Acting Classes (For 3-4, 4-5 & 5-6 year olds):

Artistic Development:  Each lesson is 45 min long, once a week. The group can be no more than 8 kids. Your child will learn the basic artistic skills such as:

- Acting; puppets; dancing; listen to the story and play It; introduce yourself; voice and body language; trust your partner;  musical instruments - make an orchestra

*  Speech Arts and Drama: (For 6-8; 9-12; 13 + year olds)

This program is include, but not limited to  basic Speech Arts and Drama skills.  During those few hours in a week children will learn how to make your voice stay in a position, how to appear on public and enjoy yourself, how to feel confident in your movements and a lot of other secrets, that makes our life much easier. 
 
 
* Programs For 13 Year Olds & Up:

- Young Stars:  Theatre / movie acting & theory, vocal / dance / movement, meeting with professional actors and directors, workshops with talent agencies representatives, demo preparation & audition techniques, including make up secrets or the easiest way to get your part

* On-Camera Acting / Private Coaching:
“Private coaching” refers to any one-on-one work an actor does with a coach hired for a set period of time.  This work can include:

- Work on either a specific audition or role in a project in production
- Understand what the camera does and what directors are looking for in each shot
- Work with scenes chosen to challenge you and your acting skills
- Strengthen your technique through exercises
- Roles with an accent / dialect coaching
- Learn how to accent your work with your props an match your work for editing

Much of our private coaching is with actors either auditioning for or cast in a substantial role in a film or television.  

* Public Speaking:
Private & semi-private lessons available:

You will learn how to:

- Feel confident to stand and deliver before any size group
- Develop and organize a presentation for any audience and any event
- Avoid the five critical mistakes that trap most public speakers
- Conduct an instant audience analysis to ensure your content is relevant
- Reduce stress
- Use your voice properly
- Control and use your body language for maximum effect
- Look and sound great

* Summer Camp Program: Only for those kids (9 – 12 years old) who love Speech Arts and Martial Arts at the same time:

- Martial Arts:  8:30 am - 12:30 pm    
- Speech Arts & Drama:  12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Our Martial Arts camp teaches the vital skills that takes to be a leader in today’s world. Using fun, fitness & black belt. Each week includes taekwondo classes’ daily, acrobatic, gymnastics lessons, inside & outside sport activities.

Acting Fundamentals, based on Stanislavsky’s System. You can be shy or easy-going, tense or open-minded, slow or active. Focus is on the development of artistic potential of each child.

* Adult Programs (18 Years Old & Up):
- Speech Arts / ESL

* Drama Therapy for Adults and Seniors:
Interprets your dreams, preconscious and frustration, through re-enactment.  Control your thoughts, your desires and expectations for your future.  Allow yourself a deep meditation into your past with recognition of your fear.  Enjoy the resistance of traumatic quality from some events in your life by realizing the objectives and playing the new role.

Additionally:
We also create performances, exhibitions and concerts for the open public. Our students and teachers participate in festivals, city events, national competitions and examinations.
