Unmanned Vehicle University:
Unmanned Vehicle University is a distance learning technical college based in Arizona that provides online Degree and Certificate courses in Unmanned Systems Engineering, Unmanned Systems Project Management, and other Unmanned topics. Programs at UVU take a systems engineering approach. Candidates are exposed to aeronautical, mechanical and electrical engineering as well as systems engineering and project management. Graduates from our online degree programs will have opportunities as systems engineers, engineering program managers and project managers.
Online Unmanned Vehicle Courses:
Doctor of Science in Unmanned Systems EngineeringDuration: 12 weeks (online or on-campus in Phoenix AZ)
The Doctor of Science in Unmanned Systems Engineering focuses on unmanned aircraft systems. The curriculum includes architecture, development, modeling & simulation, analysis, integration, test and management of complex systems and processes. Problems and exams are used to assess candidate progress.
The program consists of 48 credits taken over 12 week terms and a Doctoral dissertation (12 credits). At the end of the last course, students must pass a comprehensive exam before starting their research for the dissertation.
Masters Degree in Unmanned Systems Engineering
Duration: 12 weeks
The Masters in Unmanned Systems Engineering focuses on unmanned systems engineering and program/project management. All courses are taught online. The curriculum includes architecture, development, modeling & simulation, analysis, integration, test and management of complex systems and processes.
Certificate in Unmanned Systems Project ManagementDuration: 12 weeks
The Certificate in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Management is for students who want to enter the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Career Field. A high school diploma or above and high school is required for entry into this program.
UAV Pilot Training
Duration: 50 hours
The UAV pilot training program consists of three phases. Phase 1 and 2 are conducted at home while Phase 3 is conducted at one of our flight schools. At the end of the program, students will receive the UAV Pilot Certificate that shows 10 hours of simulator, 16 hours of ground school and 24 hours of flight training for a total of 50 hours of training.
