Study French Cooking or Pastry for 3 months in Miami and for 3 months in the South of France. You can then complete a 6-month internship in a gastronomic restaurant in France.

This special program has been designed for beginners, professionals, or people who want to change their career. Ideal for those who want to learn French Cooking or Pastry, or improve their current knowledge, it is taught at a 1 Michelin star level.

Special Miami / South of France Cooking Program
Course Duration: 12 months. You choose to study either French Cooking or Pastry.

Photo of Contact Page - Culinary Program in Miami & South of FranceThis program provides you with the opportunity to experience life in the beautiful city of Miami, and also allow you to discover the Languedoc Roussillon region (at the Mediterranean seaside in the south of France), close to the Spanish border.

In each location, you will have different teachers with different experiences and personalities, but all have a wealth of industry experience in high-end hotels and/or restaurants.

3 months in Miami (Cooking OR Pastry)
Course Structure: 12 weeks, with 4 hours of hands-on classes per day, 5 days per week. All of your weekends are free. 

This program comprises 3 modules (each of 4 weeks), with different dishes with a higher level of difficulty taught in the second month and third month.

Cooking Course:  1st Week: Cold Starters, 2nd Week: Hot Starters, 3rd Week: Fish dishes, 4th Week: Meat dishes
OR
Pastry Course:  1st Week: Breads, Viennoiseries, Doughs, 2nd Week: Cakes and Entremets, 3rd Week: Chocolates, 4th Week: Plated Desserts and Decoration

French Language Classes: Your level of French will be assessed on arrival in Miami. Depending on your proficiency, French lessons are highly recommended while you are studying in Miami.

You will have one month free in between in order to apply for the Student Visa and to organize your travel to France.

3 months in the south of France (Cooking OR Pastry)

6 Months internship in a Gastronomic Restaurant in France (1 Michelin star level)
If you choose to do an internship, we will organize a placement in a Gastronomic Restaurant in France, depending on your level of skill. Gastronomicom students receive a stipend of 436 Euro per month (fixed regular sum paid) once the internship period of the training begins, plus food and accommodation.

Gastronomicom collaborates exclusively with top-end Hotel-Restaurants and Restaurants in France such as the Relais-Châteaux, Leading Hotels of the World, and other Luxury Restaurants.
