New Jersey Virtual School:
Based in Tinton Falls, Monmouth County, The New Jersey Virtual School (NJVS) offers quality, online instruction to high school and middle school students in Grades 6 -12 for remediation, promotion, or to earn additional credits to meet New Jersey high school graduation requirements. All courses are taught by highly-qualified New Jersey certified teachers and all courses are aligned to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. New Jersey Virtual is not a diploma granting establishment. Since 2002, we have provided high-quality and affordable courses to more than 450 school districts, agencies, alternative programs, and residential facilities in New Jersey with over 14,000 enrollments.
Online Instruction for High School & Middle School Students (Grades 6 - 12):
NJVS uses the Florida Virtual School’s award-winning courses which are aligned to National and NJ State standards. We offer high-quality online instruction for the purposes of:
- New Course Credit: This means that you are taking the course for the first time, or you need to take the full course as stated by your school due to not receiving credit.
- Credit Recovery: This means you must re-take the course, as per your school, in order to receive credit toward graduation / promotion.
- Earning Additional Credits for Graduation
NJVS offers remedial summer school courses as well as courses for students who want to challenge themselves with additional academic courses or Advanced Placement classes. Students must consult with their guidance counselor/school administrator to determine what course they need, and if it is a new credit course (comprehensive) or a credit recovery course (make-up).
