Student Of the Word (SOW) is a K-12 Christian homeschool curriculum written in Louisiana and designed for Christian parents nationwide and around the world. Our Bible-centered curriculum is for Christian parents who desire to disciple their children, not just educate them. The SOW Curriculum is a six year course of study; with all six years repeated again - making the SOW Curriculum a comprehensive educational program for children in Grades K-12.

SOW Attributes:

- It is a homeschooling curriculum designed for Christian families. The SOW Curriculum endorses a Biblical vision -- the goal is to know God, the method is discipleship, and the main text is the Bible.

- It is a strictly scriptural program. There is no fear of doctrinal or religious ideologies being taught by any man, because the lessons in the SOW Curriculum are formatted to teach the student "how" to study God's Word and His creation.

- It is an integrated approach to study. Each subject in the SOW Curriculum focuses on the Bible-- not a principle, time line, literature, topic, or character trait. This focus on the Word of God creates a unique relationship between all the subjects.

Our Method:
We believe educating children is not as complicated as some would have you believe. Instead of learning science, English, history, geography, and math facts in small amounts scattered throughout twelve years, we repeatedly teach all the facts and the basic skills by using research, reading, asking questions, listening, critical thinking, and writing to draw out the truth in each subject.
