MJA Language Ltd:
MJA Language run high quality summer English language courses for young people in popular locations in England, UK. These centres are situated in the historic and vibrant cities of York, Durham, Stamford and Manchester. We have a small friendly atmosphere and as a family business, offer an extremely personal service. We have students from all over Europe who come to learn English in a relaxed and fun environment. We deal solely with groups and we offer residential or family accommodation. At each centre we place great emphasis on looking after our students 24 hours a day. Members of our staff, together with Group Leaders, ensure that the appropriate levels of supervision and control are maintained at all times and that help is at hand should it be required.

Location and Facilities:

Stamford School, Stamford:
Residential and Homestay centre for 11 to 17 year olds. Stamford School includes the traditional English public school for boys founded in 1532 and the School for girls, both situated in the town centre. 6 residential houses with twin, triple and multi-bedded rooms are dispersed in the town all within 10 minutes walking distance of the main site. Each house has shared shower and toilet facilities and its own common room with TV and pay phone. There is a weekly laundry service provided by the school and all meals are taken in the school's self-service dining room. Packed lunches are provided at weekends.

Bootham School, York:
Residential and Homestay centre for 11 to 17 year olds. Bootham is a traditional English private school situated right in York city centre. There are four residential houses with twin, triple and multi-bedded rooms and shared shower and toilet facilities. Each house has its own common room with TV and pay phone. There is a laundry situated in the main body of the school and tokens for the machines can be bought from reception. All meals are taken in the school's self-service dining room.

- 15 light, spacious classrooms; large assembly hall for evening activities; MJA office and staff room; Group Leader common room.
- One modern sports-hall; four tennis courts; an indoor heated swimming pool and a large sports field.

Ellesmere College, Ellesmere:
Residential centre for 11 to 17 year olds. Ellesmere College is set in extensive grounds in beautiful red brick buildings that are truly breathtaking. The school was founded in 1879 as part of a group of Church of England schools and is now home to approximately 250 boarders. The accomodation is in six boarding houses offering a combination of single, twin and multi-bedded rooms. Showers, baths and wcs in each house. All meals are taken in the self-service dining room

- Six tennis courts, football pitches, playing fields, indoor sports hall and a swimming pool. The school also has its own 9 hole golf course and there are riding and watersports available nearby as an optional extra.

Chetham School, Manchester:
Chetham's School of Music is to be found nestled in the very heart of the city behind the Cathedral. The residential houses contain single, double and multi-bedded rooms and are all contained within the main site. Each house has shared shower and toilet facilities and its own common room with TV. A weekly laundry service is provided by the school and all meals are taken in the self-service dining-room.

Barnard Castle School:
Barnard Castle School, founded in 1883, is set in its own fifty-acre estate in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Boarding accomodation is contained within the main school building and also in houses set within the grounds. The accomodation is in twin, triple and multi-bedded rooms with shared bathrooms in every house. All meals are taken in the self-service dining room and a laundry service is available.
