Edu-inter Summer Language School in Quebec:
Experience true French language immersion in the beautiful city of Quebec in east-central Canada! Edu-inter offers summer French immersion programs for adults (16+), French language teachers and teenagers from around the world. 2018 will be the 13th year that we will hold our French Summer Program. Our objective is to provide our students with the highest quality French language courses combined with excellent cultural and recreational activities. Located only 1.5 hours flight from Toronto, Ontario, Quebec is the only major city in Canada that offers a 100% French-speaking environment which makes it the ideal place to learn French.

Summer French Language Courses for Adults & Youth (16+)
Our Summer French Program for Adults offers a unique opportunity to study and learn French in the cradle of francophone culture in the Americas.

By combining our French courses with afternoon workshops and our outstanding cultural activities program, you can learn French and experience francophone culture. A true French immersion experience!

Options include:
• French & Cooking (1-7 weeks)
• French & Dramatic Arts (1-6 weeks)
• French for Teachers (1-4 weeks)


Course Structure:


French Courses - 9 am to noon / 15 hours per week:
The French classes are structured in 7 levels, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Students develop all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, in addition to attention to the study of grammar and phonetics. There are on average of 10 to 15 students per class.


Afternoon Workshops - 15 hours per week:
Workshops offer an opportunity to practice and improve oral fluency through entertaining and diverse workshops.

- Cooking
Join French and Cooking to learn about Quebecois cuisine and its fusion with international influences. The cooking classes are held in the college’s professional cooking training center and taught by a well known local professional chef.

- Dramatic Arts
Practice acting and improvisation in French. You will work on pronunciation, vocabulary and fluency.

Prepare short performances for the other students. Drama in French is awesome way to improve oral fluency!

- French for French Language Teachers
This program is designed specifically for French language teachers who wish to improve their French language skills, and refresh or develop teaching strategies and methods.

These afternoon workshops focus on techniques and strategies for the preparation and delivery of French language classes.

We place a strong emphasis on the sharing of experiences between course participants, who can exchange their tools and techniques for teaching French by collaboratively developing pedagogical sequences.  


Evening / Weekend Activities and Excursions:
To complement your courses and workshops, we offer a outstanding activities and excursion schedule which includes rich cultural activities every day. 

Students have the option of pre-registering to weekend excursions or registering to activities once in the school.
