“Come, learn Spanish…and live it!” With this as our motto, Costa de Valencia, School of Spanish, located in Valencia, Eastern Spain offers Spanish courses based on three fundamental factors: the highest quality of teaching, abundant extra-curricular activities and economic prices. Our school has over 10 years of teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and is certified as an Accredited Centre by the Instituto Cervantes, guaranteeing an excellent level of teaching. All of our teachers are native speakers, and possess degrees in Modern Languages as well as ample experience in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. Classes are given in reduced groups of no more than 8 students with a similar level of Spanish and with material specially developed by our teaching staff. The extra curricular activities are fundamental for practicing what you have learnt in class and to get to know the Spanish people and culture. For this reason, we organise carefully selected activities daily.
Intensive Spanish:
The Intensive course consists of 20 classes of 45 minutes a week and a socio-cultural module, either theoretical or practical.
The courses are structured in seven levels of knowledge, which are structured to be completed within two weeks (except for the last). There actually exists intermediate weekly levels which guarantees that students are in a class with similar students.
To ensure the participation of every student, the classes have a maximum of 8 students (average of 4). A test will be completed on the first day to assess the student’s level of Spanish.
The socio-cultural modules take up roughly 5 hours of a student’s week. The topics dealt with (popular fiestas, traditions and customs, Spanish politics, bullfighting, Flamenco, cookery…) allow students to have contact with a wide and rich variety of Spanish and Valencian customs, way of life and culture.
Complementary Courses:
Our complementary courses can be combined with the Intensive courses. They are 10 hours a week, 7.5 of which are taught Monday to Friday in either the morning or the afternoon. The groups have a maximum of 8 students (average of 2,5).

DELE Preparation:
This course is specifically designed for those wishing to pass the DELE examinations held in May, August and September. The Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is an internationally recognised qualification given by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Costa de Valencia, School of Spanish is an inscription centre for the DELE so students can sign up and sit the exam here.
The courses take place within the 3 weeks leading up to the examinations and a course of 3 weeks is recommended.
Preparation Courses for the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid Examinations:
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid, in collaboration with the University of Alcalá de Henares, offers specialized qualifications of Spanish language in the fields of economy, commerce and tourism. These certificates have a wide recognition in companies and institutions that use Spanish as a commercial language.
Costa de Valencia, School of Spanish is an examination centre of the Official Diplomas of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid.
The preparation courses (Basic Certificate in Business, Advanced Certificate in Business, Basic Certificate in Tourism and Advanced Certificate in Tourism) are held in the weeks preceding the examinations..
One to One:
This is a totally personalized way to learn Spanish and can be combined with our courses to consolidate learning or used as an independent method to learn Spanish. There are discounts for groups of more than one or for classes of extended periods of time.
Long Duration courses:
Specially designed courses for students who will be living in Valencia for an extended period of time (students from the Erasmus/Socrates programme, au-pairs etc). These courses are organised to take place between October and June.
Classes are taught twice a week with a class of an hour and a half each day (Erasmus Course maximum of 15 students) or of 2 hours and fifteen minutes (Mini Erasmus Course maximum of 5 students).
Semester long courses:
Courses designed for those who are planning to stay in Valencia for more than 24 weeks.
Group courses:
This is a programme, with or without a course which is designed for groups of students with a teacher who are taking part in a linguistic stay in Valencia. The Programme includes daily socio-cultural activities. For more information please contact the school.
