French Language Courses in the South of France

Valorme, Toulouse:
Located in Foix, near Toulouse and the Pyrenees, Valorme is a small and friendly French language school where you will instantly feel at home. Corine, your instructor, and her husband will do their utmost to offer you an unforgetable stay.The school is opened all year round.

Our French language immersion program enables you to speak French all day long through lessons, lunches and outings.
There is only one mini-group of 6 students maximun in the school. It ensures individual attention and gives the opportunity to adapt to each student's specific needs.

The lessons put emphasis on oral communication (speaking, listening, pronunciation). They also give you a chance to learn or review grammar and vocabulary. They allow you to improve your weak points and to speak with more confidence.
Informal conversation practice takes place at lunchtime with your teacher in nearby restaurants.
Outings in the afternoon allow you to practise French whilst discovering the area. 3 visits, chosen by the group, are included in the program.

Valorme is located in a small, quiet street of the medieval town Foix in the Southwest of France, in Ariège. In the same building, you will find the classroom, four flats for the students, a living room and a courtyard to relax in. Your tutor, Corine and her husband have their apartment here too.

They are comfortably furnished with a small kitchen and a private bathroom and wc (sheets, towels, hairdryer provided).
As a welcome gesture, we provide you with items for your first breakfast as well as basic products to cook your dinners if you wish.

A lounge : A friendly place to meet the other participants, where you will find materials for private study or for leisure: TV, DVD, books and magazines, games…

The courtyard is also a nice place to relax after the course.

Several food shops (fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, ready-made dishes...) and the Friday market are just around the corner as well as many restaurants offering a large choice of good food to suit all pockets.

I wanted to thank you for the fabulous 3 weeks I spent at your school and apartments. The weeks were structured perfectly with formal classroom lessons in the morning, lunch with you at one of the many fabulous little restaurants in Foix and I particularly enjoyed the many adventures we had in the afternoon, from discovering the idyllic forgotten chateau of Roquefort to wine tasting and visiting the local grottes. A perfect way to learn French whilst enjoying the many things the area has to offer. I highly recommend a day of snow shoeing and skiing at Ax-Les-Thermes in the winter months to any other students!
