Southampton Solent University:
Southampton Solent University located one hour from London in the South of England is one of the UK's newest universities offering a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours Degree Course in Sound Engineering to UK and International Students. Our Sound Engineering course aims to blend production and performance creativity with sound business knowledge, giving you a skill set that few other Music degrees offer. This will give you a much-needed edge in an industry that is notoriously hard to break in to.

Over the last decade graduates from our Sound Engineering Degree course have secured employment in a wide range of sound engineering appointments in almost every area of the media and entertainment industry. Big name employers include Abbey Road Studios, Dolby Laboratories, Pinewood Studios, G-Cap Media, BBC, ITV, Formula 1, SSL Audio and Twickenham Film Studios.

Learning:
You will use a range of learning media and have the opportunity to undertake a major Level 6 project allied to your degree. A suite of new audio, acoustic studios and electronics laboratories will provide you with a practitioner’s hands-on approach to learning.

This sound engineering degree, part of the Sound and Music Technology Programme, has three major themes which run throughout the duration of the course; audio production, audio technology and electro-acoustic systems.
