Fairview International School, Kuala Lumpur:
Located in Kuala Lumpur, Northern Malaysia, in south east Asia, Fairview International School, an education institution acting as a international day and boarding school and registered with the Ministry of Education of Malaysia, was established in 1978 by a group of parents. These parents aimed to provide children from the age of four with an education of the highest standard using English as the medium of instruction. Fairview has both the Cambridge and International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Since its inception, Fairview has created a strong presence as a reputable international school in the Asian region. Today, the School is now home away from home to over 900 students from close to 45 different nations. The Fairview experience consists of learning in an interactive environment. We also wish to cultivate holistic and accelerate learning in our students. Our integrated and thematic approach thus includes music, fine arts, character education and computing studies.

FAIRVIEW has been a visionary educational institution ever since its humble beginnings in 1978. To this end, our efforts have been channeled in providing the most effective in education for those in our care. Our desire is for our children to not only achieve academically but also in the skills of music, fine arts and co – curricular activities. With the world shrinking yet increasing in global connections, it becomes imperative that our children are international minded and conscious of their environment.

Having successfully delivered the Cambridge IGCSE and GCE 0 levels for the past 30 years, we undertook to embrace the IB educational philosophy and are a candidate school for all three programmes, namely, the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma. The Cambridge International Programme for Primary and Lower Secondary is also available. Coupled with IGCSE, Fairview is at the frontier in international education.

The Fairview experience consists of learning in an interactive and innovative environment. Our creative pedagogical instruments include Tony Buzan's mind maps, Edward de Bono's Six Thinking Hats and Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences. We seek to ensure that our students not only score well academically but also develop the love of learning.
