Summer English School in Ireland

English Explorer (south Of Ireland Language Centre):
Located in a quiet suburb of Cork city, the South of Ireland Language Centre, provides the ideal ambience for those wishing to learn English during the months of June, July and August. The school is based in the Cork Institute of Technology, a modern third level college. Cork is an historic city with a rich cultural heritage. Established in 1967, we are a family run school catering for both adult and junior students of all ages. programmes are provided for. The summer courses offer fifteen hours of English tuition per week, a weekly programme of afternoon activities and full day excursions on Saturdays to scenic locations, weekend trips to Galway and/or Dublin, outdoor educational centres for activities such as sailing and canoeing and horse riding. Also rugby camps and soccer camps in conjunction with the course if there is sufficient demand.

Summer Programmes for both adult and junior students: Standard & Intensive General English; One to one classes; Host family accommodation arranged.

The students stay with Irish families in the Bishopstown area and are, therefore, close to the school. By living with Irish families, students are given an insight into Irish family life and are stimulated into speaking English in the home.

All quoted prices include full board and accommodation. In any given Irish family we ensure that there is only one student of a particular nationality unless we are asked to do otherwise by the leaders of the student groups.

If students have particular preferences, such as wanting the children of the Irish family to be roughly their age, then we try to match these preferences as best we can with our resources.
