University of Applied Sciences of Offenburg is only a short ride away from the cosmopolitan city of Strasbourg (France) on the other side of the Rhine valley, and Basel in Switzerland about 120 km down the Rhine. Offenburg University’s two campuses are located near to each other, surrounded by the stunning landscape of the Black Forest, in the heart of Europe. The main campus is located in Offenburg, a charming city of 60,000 inhabitants. The second campus is in Gengenbach, which is located some 11 km away from the city of Offenburg. Gengenbach is an historical town nestling between the foothills of the Black Forest and the Vosges Mountains in nearby France. Apart from tourism, the local economy in the region is characterized by internationally active small and medium high-tech enterprises in the field of media, mechanical engineering and electronics.
