Die Ausbildung an der CDSH gliedert sich in 3 Jahre, die aufeinander aufbauen.

Im ersten Jahr liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Arbeit an den Techniken in Modern, Ballett und Jazz. Im zweiten Jahr kommen weitere Tanzstile hinzu, und die Technikarbeit wird zugunsten von choreographischer Projektarbeit eingeschränkt. Durch diese Projektarbeit wird den Auszubildenden ein Verständnis für den Gesamtablauf einer Bühnenproduktion vermittelt. Die Projekte der Choreographen werden regelmäßig in regionalen Theatern aufgeführt.

Die Contemporary Dance School Hamburg bildet aus in den Tanzstilen:

Der Schwerpunkt liegt im Modern Dance mit einer fundierten klassischen Grundlage. Neben den eigentlichen Tanzklassen wird in folgenden Bereichen unterrichtet:
