Ridley College:
Established in 1889, Ridley College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school nestled in the heart of historic St. Catharines, Ontario. The student body of nearly 600 is 2/3 Canadian with some 30 other countries from all round the world making up the rest. Ridley College goes from grades JK through 12 with the option to pursue a PG ( Post Graduate) year and offers boarding for students beginning in grade 5. With a reputation for excellence Ridley turns out some of the brightest and most technologically aware students in the world. Ridley also has one of the finest sports programs in Canada, year after year garnering CISSA Championships and OFSAA titles. For the artiscally inclined, our facilities are expansive. From the Music department to the Mandeville Theater, students may partake in whichever area suits their strengths.

There are a number of public programmes that take place at Ridley, and the public has rental access tPhoto of Independent Boarding School in Ontario, Canadao our facilities.

We regularly play host to events such as Teacher Professional Development Conferences, Soccer and Music camps, our own Summer Academy, Sports Tournaments, Theatrical performances, Ergometer and Rowing Championships, as well as our own Crawford and Eve Gordon - MGI Speaker Series. We also host public groups such as Tourist Groups, Rowing Teams, and School Groups, for both “day” and “residential” activities.

As mentioned, Ridley is blessed with world-class facilities that the general public has rental access to. It is very common for the school to be packed with visitors attending soccer, hockey, or basketball practices, or a local high school rowing team working out in the “Erg” room or in the pool. The St. Catharines Skating Club recently celebrated 100 years of recreational skating at the Ridley Arena (Griffith Sports Complex), and we are the primary SAT Test Centre in the Niagara region – with 6 scheduled test dates over the course of the year.
