IH Berlin PROLOG:
At IH Berlin PROLOG in the centre of Berlin in eastern Germany we teach German in German because that is the language we want to impart to you. When we founded PROLOG 20 years ago, we wanted to offer a modern alternative to the traditionally language teaching on the market. Our open and inviting atmosphere, the international mix of our students and the cosmopolitan character of Berlin have all combined to impress thousands of language learners from more than 60 countries over the years.
We have carefully selected all of our teachers according to their academic and language abilities, as well as the way they relate to their students. The competence and experience of our German teachers is of particular importance: teaching qualifications are important, as is extensive experience teaching German as a foreign language at renowned schools and institutions. Many of our German teachers have already completed our Teacher Training programme.
Location and Facilities:
The school is really easy to get to, whichever route you take. The school is situated in what was West Berlin, in one of the most beautiful districts, which also happens to be one of the liveliest quarters of the city - Schöneberg. Ideal connections to the public transportation network mean that all destinations are no more than a stone's throw away: IH Berlin PROLOG is just a couple of minutes away from the underground and local rail stations on Schöneberg's Hauptstraße.
Schöneberg is not just geographically the meeting point between the cool quarter Kreuzberg and the chic residential area Wilmersdorf. With its stylish bars, cafes and restaurants Schöneberg has become an exciting and varied area for going-out. To get a feel for Schöneberg why not visit the weekend market at Winterfeldplatz, probably Berlin's best-know weekend market? You'll find the most delicious fruit and vegetables as well as the most beautiful flowers, fine cheeses, interesting clothes, and household goods. Afterwards you can meet friends in one of the many cafes nearby.
Our school extends over two floors and houses 22 light and spacious classrooms. The rooms can be fitted out with a TV, LCD projector, DVD and/or video player, PC and an interactive whiteboard as required.

Directions / Instructions:
With public transportation
By bus: M48, M85, 204, 187, 104, 106 to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz.
By subway: U7 Eisenacher Str. or U7 Kleistpark.
By S-Bahn (commuter train): S1 to Julius-Leber-Brücke. From there, it's only a couple of minutes to Hauptstraße 23.
By plane
From Tegel Airport (TXL)
Take either the X9 or 109 buses as far as Jakob-Kaiser-Platz and then take the U7 underground line to Eisenacher Straße station. Then it's only five minutes by foot to Hauptstraße 23. The total journey takes about 30 minutes.
From Schönefeld Airport (SFX)
From the airport it is best to take the 171 bus to the underground station Rudow (the first station on the U7 line). From there, take the underground as far as the station Eisenacher Straße. Then it's about five minutes by foot to Hauptstraße 23. In total the journey takes about 40 minutes.
By train
You can find details of train connections to Berlin at •www.bahn.de or ask your travel agent. Depending on the train station, a taxi should cost between €15 and €25. You can also reach us easily by bus, underground and local train (S-Bahn).
From the "Hauptbahnof" train station
From the "Hauptbahnof" train station you are also only about 20 minutes away from IH Berlin PROLOG. Take the M85 to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz. You're almost at the school, only a couple of metres to Hauptstraße 23.
From Zoologischer Garten train station
Take the underground line U2 towards Pankow and get off at Bulowstraße. From there you can take the M48, M85, 187 or 106 buses as far as Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz. From there, it's only a couple of metres to Hauptstraße 23. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
From Ostbahnhof train station
Take the local train (S-Bahn) one stop to Warschauer Straße. The underground station is three minutes walk away, over the bridge. Take the underground line U1 as far as Kurfürstenstraße and then take either the M48 or M85 bus as far as Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
