At the Personal Language School in Vienna we continuously oversee a variety of German Programs that meet the needs of foreigners in Vienna with high expectations who don’t want to feel left out in Austria. In combination with our experiences teaching German in Austria & adventures we have all had abroad, we base our technique on listening to our students talk about their challenges learning German and the problems, hopes & ideas faced when they think of having a comfortable life in a foreign country-specifically here in Österreich.
German Crash Course 1 for beginners or beginners with little knowledge; German Crash Course 2 for advanced learners of German; Bi-weekly German classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced students; Saturday German courses, Private German language tuition; German language Group courses; Company courses.
Our trainers have first-hand knowledge of Austrian culture, history, and tradition, as well as offering you unique programs on diverse aspects of life in Austria. Depending on the individual program, there are many opportunities to meet Austrians and to get acquainted with the Austrian lifestyle. All of our teachers are University graduates, specialized in teaching their native language and have many years of experience. They are sensitive, sympathetic people who will make every lesson unique and thorough.
There‘s more to learning a language in Vienna than sitting in the classroom. Vienna is a city full of music to hear, places to see, shops to browse, food to eat, and operas to see. It is also one of the greenest cities in Europe with over 1/3 of the area of Vienna dedicated to parks, gardens, and nature areas.

Outdoor Activities:
Danube Nature Boat Tour—Take a private boat tour from the heart of Vienna to the Donau-Auen national park.
Vienna on Bike—Vienna boasts 250 kilometers of paved bike trail throughout the city. Take a bike tour with us around the ring, through the inners city, along the Danube, and to districts not normally seen by regular tourists.
Wienerwald by Foot—You don‘t even need to leave the city limits of Vienna to feel like you are somewhere lost in the wilderness. Explore the old Habsburg hunting grounds, the Lainzer Tiergarten.
Danube Canoe Afternoon—Take a leisurely canoe trip on the famous Blue Danube for some swimming & sun bathing during the warm Vienna Summer.

By air:
Vienna’s Schwechat Airport lies 20 km from the city centre. Bus connections are excellent, with a shuttle service running every 20 minutes between the airport and the City Air Terminal near the Stadtpark (Underground: Landstrasse/Wien-Mitte), adjoining the First District. There is also a regular bus service to the Süd-and Westbahnhof. In addition there is a S-Bahn conncection with the Südbahnhof (S-7). Both Brussels and Amsterdam schedule several departures daily.
By rail:
Trains from the west arrive at the Westbahnhof. From there one can catch an underground train (lines U3 and U6) to the centre. Alternately, trams 5,6,9 and 18 will also take you there. Trains from east and north Germany arrive at the Ostbahnhof. This station too offers various possibilities for reaching the city centre.
