University of Idaho Engineering Outreach:
University of Idaho Engineering Outreach (EO) is a distance education program offering certificate and master degree programs in Engineering to off-campus students since 1975. Today, courses are delivered online, to hundreds of students worldwide. Consider us if you are seeking a complete master's degree or certificate in an engineering-related discipline, a Master of Arts in teaching mathematics, or courses for professional development, background study, or transfer credit.
Master's Degree Programs:
Engineering Outreach delivers the coursework required for the master's degrees listed below. These are the same courses and degrees offered on campus. All required coursework may be completed at a distance, and you will most likely visit the UI campus near the end of your program to take a comprehensive exam or defend a thesis.

Academic Certificates:
An academic certificate is a coherent body of work designed to reflect specialized expertise, and signifies that a student has successfully completed a series of courses predetermined by the academic department; the courses designated in a certificate already exist in a department's approved curriculum. Requiring between 12 - 15 credits, a certificate consists of a combination of required and elective courses.

Focus Areas:
Selected UI departments offer courses through Engineering Outreach fulfilling some, but not necessarily all, degree requirements. Additional required courses are available through the academic departments. Refer to the departmental websites for degree requirements.
