Legal Transcriptionist Course
The Legal Transcriptionist six-week course is designed to guide you though the principles, terms and techniques that are used by successful Legal Transcriptionists. You receive comprehensive lessons, fun quizzes, thorough reviews, transcription assignments, and exams that have been carefully prepared and designed for successful online learning at home.
Course Learning Outcomes - students will demonstrate the ability to:
- Proofread transcripts against recordings.
- Apply correct terminology in legal proceedings.
- Review and decipher annotations made by digital (electronic) court reporters.
- Demonstrate transcript format set-up in Microsoft Word 2007.

Ethics for the Court Reporter
This online course is designed to be taken over the course of one week. The student will study the Divine Command Theory, Virtue Ethics, Deontoloy and Utilitarianism and apply these ethical theories to hypothetical career-based ethical situations.
