Australasian Institute of Applied Studies:
Australasian Institute of Applied Studies (AIAS) was founded in 1998 in Auckland, to meet the demand of students wishing to study Ayurveda, the complimentary health science of India. In 1999, under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. S. Ajit, (B.A.M.S., P.C.A.S.), the Institute recognized the need to establish a quality assurance model of service delivery by becoming a Private Training Establishment (P.T.E), delivering a nationally recognized qualification in Ayurveda under the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (N.Z.Q.A.).

Our institute is centrally located at 41 Gillies Ave,  Newmarket, an inner city suburb of Auckland and is easily-accessible by public transport, making it easy for students wishing to undertake study in one of the Institute's Academic Programmes. The Newmarket Shopping Precinct is also close by, offering a range of eating establishments.

Accreditation:
AIAS is registered and accredited with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and meets the requirements of the 1989 Educational Act.

Courses / Programs:
- Diploma in Clinical Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant (Level 5)
- National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5)

Academic staff at AIAS is highly qualified with real-world experience and teaching skills. The low student-lecturer ratio allows a personal approach and direct access to tutors.

Graduates will have the ability to work in a number of fields related to Ayurveda, providing Ayurvedic health assessment skills and therapies to the public either through their own clinic/establishments as an Ayurvedic therapist or through existing Health Care Centres. You can provide Ayurvedic Massage, Ayurvedic Musculo-Skeletal Therapy, Shirodhara Therapy or Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselling among other services.
