Admission Requirements:
Each application for admissions is considered individually with the expectation that students have a satisfactory grade point average and new SAT/ACT score. Because of the mandated University of North Carolina System 18% cap on out-of-state freshmen students, academic achievement and new SAT/ACT scores must be competitive.
The University and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Office apply the criteria for admissions flexibly to assure that students with unusual qualifications are not rejected in the admissions process. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions should be contacted directly in regard to specific situations.
The university offers over 110 undergraduate degree programs, more than 50 master’s degree programs, and Ph.D. programs in mechanical, electrical and industrial engineering; energy and environmental systems; and leadership studies.
