This may be due to geography, health issues or work commitments. For these reasons ACNT offers courses by distance education using the 'directed learning' model. The 'directed learning' model is where students receive a study guide which walks them through their course. This study guide becomes the 'virtual lecturer' directing students through each lesson. ACNT has made every effort to ensure that distance education students really feel part of the ACNT community.

ACNT's distance education students have access to ACNT's world class course facilities and support. Students can contact ACNT at any time from anywhere in the world by email, telephone, fax or mail with one single point of contact. Due to the timely nature of electronic correspondence and for the ease of students, distance education students are strongly encouraged to have access to a computer which is email and Internet enabled.
