Faculty Of Computer Science & Multimedia (FCSM) Diploma & Degree Courses:

Diploma in Computer Science Course:
The course is structured to deliver a high degree of practical hands-on activity supported by appropriate theoretical and academic underpinning. Skills are gained through practical experience of Visual Basic, C++, JAVA, Databases and other IT tools. Upon completing this course, the student will develop excellent skills in all these areas, including the development of software in a range of modern Programming languages. The intention is that a computer science graduate will be well–versed and skilled in developing computer based information systems in such environment.

Study Duration: 6 semesters (full time)

Entry Requirements:
- Pass in SPM with 3 credits in any subjects including Mathematics
- Overseas qualifications such as 'O' Levels, high school, gymnasium (eastern European qualifications) and vocational or technical qualifications


Diploma in Software Engineering Course:
Software Engineering is a part of Information Technology that focuses on and towards the creation of a system of computer programs for a wide variety of purposes. It is all about developing the programs that make computers useful and interesting. The successful software engineer is able to analyze almost any requirement, translate it into a design suitable for a computing solution, create or program it as a system of software modules, verify its functionality, and implement it for the end–user. This course is designed for graduates who want to acquire
professional competence in Software Engineering and will help them develop a sound knowledge and strong technical skills in the areas of software specification, design and implementation and management. This program has strong programming and software engineering components. 

Study Duration : 6 semesters (full time)

Diploma in Business Information Technology Course:
This course reflects the current and future needs of modern industry and is designed to prepare the student for a career in Information Technology (IT) within a business environment. It will enable the student to effectively utilize IT in his/her workplace. The student will study modern IT Systems and applications. The course deals with systems analysis design and implementation, database and networking technologies. By completing this course, the student can develop excellent skills in all these areas, and gain a good understanding of how IT may be put to use in a business context.

Study Duration: 6 semesters (full time)

- Overseas qualifications such as 'O' Levels, high school, gymnasium (eastern European qualifications) and vocational or technical qualifications


Diploma in Multimedia Course:
Diploma in Multimedia provides the students with the fundamental skills to be employed with the Graphic Arts, Audio Technology, Animation, Video, and printing and publishing industries. It introduces students to a wide range of professional multimedia development packages. As the need of creative multimedia professionals in increasing every year, this diploma provides the base of developing the necessary skills to cater the needs in multimedia industries.

Study Duration: 6 semesters

Entry Requirements:
- Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM) with 3 Credits in any subjects
- Pass in Mathematics or Two Grade P in STPM
- Pass in Pengajian Am/ Kertas Am.
- Overseas qualifications such as 'O' Levels, high school, gymnasium (eastern European qualifications) and vocational or technical qualifications


B. Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science Degree Course:
This course will enable the students to the understanding of computer systems are developed besides giving the students knowledge in software engineering. It also maximizes student’s knowledge by training them on how to design and build computer networks and databases. Students will also have the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills in order for them to communicate and work effectively. Career opportunities for graduates such as software and systems developers, network managers, database designers, and administrators as well as taking up various managerial posts in IT related fields. Graduates are able to work as independent consultants or in teams with other computer professionals to build and support modern computing systems.

Study Duration: 6 semesters(full time)

1st year Entry:
- STPM with 2 principles in any subjects & credits in Mathematics in SPM level, OR
- Pass in foundation, OR
- Pass Matriculation, OR
- Pass A – Levels , OR
- Other equivalent certificates such a Overseas qualifications such as 'O' Levels, high school, gymnasium (eastern European qualifications) and vocational or technical qualifications

2nd year Entry: 
- Approved relevant Diploma


BIT (Hons) in Business Information Technology Degree Course:

Bachelor of Multimedia aims to students who wish to study the rapidly expanding areas of new digital technology and design associated with multimedia communications and the Internet. The course aims to provide graduates with skills and broad knowledge base on the new and emerging digital technologies of the 21st century

Study Duration: 6 semesters (full time)
