Medaille College:
Medaille is a private, accredited college with three campuses in Western New York that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs for US and international students. In addition to our campus-based programs, we offer online / distance education undergraduate degree completion programs in the fields of Business Administration, Health Information Administration and Homeland Security. Our online degree completion programs are designed for working adults who have accumulated some college credits before starting their online study. Interest in your area of study is crucial and work experience is a valuable plus.

Online / Distance Education Degree Completion Programs:

Online Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security (BSHS) Degree Completion Program:
The BSHS program is an accelerated online degree completion program. Students take one class at a time with each class running for seven weeks and the program is completed in two years.

Students need approximately two years of college credits, and a minimum level of relevant professional experience. Courses are taught by practitioners. Graduates of the program will find career opportunities in all levels of government, immigration and the private sector.

The BSHS program teaches the theories, models, tools and techniques needed to effectively prepare for and mitigate the effects of natural, manmade or terrorist disasters. The curriculum supports the development of a global perspective, enhanced interpersonal skills, and an increased awareness of the current state of homeland security.

Designed to give students both theoretical and practical knowledge, the program combines topics of domestic and international law, homeland security, terrorism and emergency management. 

Online Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems Degree Completion Program:
The BBA/IS program is an online degree completion program for working adults who have completed 60 or more college credits and can demonstrate at least a minimum level of academic or professional experience in information systems. Through a core of 56 credits, the program provides a comprehensive curriculum leading to completion of a bachelor's degree. 

Information Systems (IS) is defined as the use of computers and information to enable people and organizations to be more creative and productive. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems (BBA/IS) program focuses on using information systems to confront and resolve business and management problems. It is designed to teach the theories, models, tools and techniques needed to use information technology in innovative and effective business administration.

Online Bachelor’s of Professional Studies in Health Information Administration (BPS HIA) Degree Completion Program:
The BPS HIA program is an accelerated online degree completion sequence for working adults who have already earned college credits, have significant full-time work experience and can demonstrate at least a minimum level of academic or professional experience.

The BPS HIA program prepares students to collect, maintain, interpret, analyze and protect medical data that is essential for providing effective and efficient health care. The program includes courses in coding and classification systems, management of patient health information, and administration of computer information systems. 

With the specific knowledge of medical terminology and privacy regulations in health care settings provided in this program, you can apply your skills immediately to a career in this industry. 

Health Information Administration Bridge Program Option:
A companion to the BPS HIA Core, the Bridge Program accommodates students with prior education in an area other than health information who wish to earn an BPS HIA degree. Students take HIT/HIA classes required for entry into the BPS HIA Core sequence in a designated order. Students with a previous background in biomedical sciences or business administration may be able to waive specific courses.
