Located just 5 minutes from Plaza Catalunya in the heart of Barcelona, Linguaschools Barcelona provides beginner to advanced level Spanish language classes year-round to students from around the world. Courses include Intensive and Semi-Intensive group classes, one-on-one private classes, and DELE Exam preparation courses.
Beginner to Advanced Level Spanish Language Courses:
Intensive Spanish courses
The standard option, the intensive 20 has 20 lessons per week in a group from Monday to Friday, so 4 lessons daily. The typical timetable is from 9.30 to 13.30 (including a short break). In high season classes could be in the afternoon as well. The intensive 30 is just like the intensive 20, but has 2 additional lessons in a small group per day.
Classes are being put up by students level of Spanish. This way you will always be in a class with students which are of the same Spanish level as you are. Because of the small classes, the teacher can give individual support and classes are intensive. Besides the Spanish language, the country's culture is an integral part of the Spanish classes in Barcelona.
Semi-Intensive Spanish Courses
Alternatively we offer the intensive 8 or the intensive 10 Spanish course. Choosing the intensive 10 you typically have 2 lessons per day Monday to Friday, half of the intensive 20.
The intensive 8 is designed for University/Erasmus students, au-pairs or people who are working or taking their internship in Barcelona, allowing more flexibility in the days you take the course. For example you can choose to take 4 lessons on Tuesday and Thursday, or 2 lessons daily Tuesday to Friday, etc. To follow this course it is necessary that you are also speaking Spanish outside your lessons, usually at a job or university, so you can keep up with the pace of the course.
Extensive Spanish Courses
For those who want to learn Spanish, but only have limited time available, we recommend the Extensive 4 course. This course consist of 2 Spanish lessons, twice a week. Lessons are usually in the afternoon or in the evening. Time-tables and available levels may vary throughout the year.
Before reserving this course, please come by our school or send us an email with your request and we will let you know what we have available at the moment.
Intensive Course + Individual Lessons
For a more intensive and personal learning experience you can take individual classes in combination with your intensive 20 group course, the intensive 20+5 course or the intensive 20+10 course. You have the benefit of deciding the subject-matter to be discussed during the individual lessons.
For example, you may choose to have your Spanish instruction emphasize Spanish use in a business environment or in another area of your choice like medical Spanish. In addition, you can also choose to dig a little bit deeper into grammar or work on your fluency in general. Because the individual classes are adjusted to your wishes and capacity, following this course make you learn Spanish faster. This course is recommended for anyone who wants to learn Spanish but have a limited amount of time.
DELE Exam Preparation Course
In the DELE examination course you are prepared to the Instituto Cervantes official DELE exam. At the end of the course you can take part of the exam and if you passed, you will be handed the only internationally recognized certificate for the Spanish language. In Barcelona the DELE exam course consists of 4 classes of Intensive Spanish per day in a group and 1 private class per day. In the group course you will follow regular Spanish classes and in the private class you will specifically focus on the DELE exam.
The exam is not included in the course price and should be requested more than one month in advance. You can take the exam 3 times a year. In Spain, but also in your home country.
One-to-One Course
For those seeking and even more flexible and intensive experience, we recommend private lessons, the so called one-to-one course. You have the benefit of deciding the subject-matter to be discussed during the individual lessons.
If you come together with a friend who has the same level of Spanish, you can alternatively go for the individual lessons with one teacher and two students, called the one-on-two course.
