Yak Academy San Diego:
Located in the Mira Mesa area of northern San Diego County (just 30 minutes north of Downtown San Diego) Yak Academy is a foreign language center for children ages 1-10. Currently, we offer Spanish immersion classes taught by native speaking instructors through game, music, song and art. We provide "Parent & Me", "Preschool Program" and once-a-week Enrichment Classes. We are confident that you will find a program that meets the developmental needs of your children whether they’re babies, toddlers, preschoolers or elementary school age.
This predominant world language is getting closer to home every day. Many of us have a native Spanish speaker in our family, someone that we work with, or met someone at the local playground with one of the many recognizable Spanish accents.
In fact, projections tell us that we’re only a few years away from one fourth of the population being native Spanish speakers here in the USA! At some point in the very near future, it is possible that speaking Spanish will be a necessity and not a luxury.
A Typical 100% Immersion Day:
Instructors provide a structured day that has a variety of learning opportunities all in the target language. Children engage in individual and social activities, assist with cleanup and develop self‐care skills. The most important segment of the daily routine is HighScope’s plan‐do‐review sequence, in which children make choices about what they will do, carry out their ideas, and reflect upon their activities with their instructors and other children.

Viva el Español is a non-profit Spanish Language and Culture Center serving children and adults in the East Bay area of California. We are a before and after-school program, and teach a wide range of Spanish language courses to young amigos from ages 1 and up, pre-school through high school. We offer beginner to advanced level classes, quality private lessons, and tutoring.We believe that learning a foreign language in the pre-school, elementary school, and formative years is an essential part of a child's education and development. Kallpachay instructors are native speakers that skillfully immerse your child in learning Spanish without translation.
