L'Italiano Porticando, Turin:
Founded in 2005, L'Italiano Porticando is a friendly Italian language school in Turin, teaching exclusively the Italian language and culture to foreigners. We aim to be a cut above ordinary language schools in Turin and to provide a specialized centre and point of reference for those who want to study the Italian in Turin. Turin is in a city well-known as an industrial centre, but little-known by tourists. Turin has, however, an incredible artistic and cultural legacy to offer to those who love Italy, its language and its culture.
Standard Courses:Standard courses are Italian language courses with 5 to 8 people. They are suitable for people who want to learn Italian in a group, meeting other people and having fun while learning the language. Though lessons are held for a group, our teachers will adapt the contents and the speed of the course to the needs of the members of the group.
We offer 15 and 20 hours/week courses (55 minutes per hour) lasting from minimum 1 week to 2, 3 or 4 weeks (for each level). Of course, it is also possible to sign up for a long term course. Classes are normally held in the morning, every day from Monday to Friday.
This kind of courses are organized for all levels of knowledge of the European Framework for Languages (from beginners to advanced).Standard courses can also be combined with individual or cultural courses which will complete the language course with knowledge on Italian culture and way of life.
Individual courses
Individual courses are for those people who want to learn Italian either over a longer period or intensively, with a flexible programme, customized according to the needs of the student. Long-term private lessons are suitable for those students who have to learn Italian for business reasons (f.ex. employees of foreign companies in Italy who have to work for a period of time in Italy) and for people who want to schedule the classes according to their needs.
Private tuition is for all levels of proficiency (from beginners to advanced) and for all purposes (conversation, business Italian, CILS exams preparation ...)Individual online courses and online courses in groups
L’Italiano Porticando has been offering the possibility to learn Italian on Skype for several years now. This allows the student to organize his or her classes flexibly, once or more times per week, according to his or her availability and needs. Classes do not only respect the student's situation, but also the different time zones for students living outside the European Union.
The school also offers an opportunity to join online classes in groups for all levels. Theses classes are organized in 30 hours modules and take place twice per week.
Courses for 50+
L'Italiano Porticando reserves every year several weeks to the so called “Golden Age”, i.e. people over 50 who want to attend an Italian Language Course together with people of the same age. This year's 50+ classes will have 4 days with 3 hours per day of Italian language classes and 1 day (Wednesday) with a 4-6 hours outing to discover either a Royal Residence outside Turin or a visit to a wineyard with tasting of typical products and wines or an excursion to the beautiful regional park of La Mandria. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoon the students will have the possibility to take part in the afternoon activities to get to know Turin and to speak Italian also outside the classroom.
