The Scottsdale School is located in Scottsdale, north of Phoenix in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Scottsdale School is the oldest private school in Scottsdale, offering a complete preschool and kindergarten curriculum. Our preschool begins at age two and goes to age five for Jr. Kindergarten. Sr. Kindergarten children age from five to six. Desert Shadows Montessori was founded in 1988 by Eileen Shea. In 2002, her daughter, Pat Shea Barton took over as director.
