Design Courses in Florence:

MASTER 1st Level Graphic Design (600 hours)
This course is designed or those who want a professional career in the fields of Graphics, Illustration, Publishing and Advertising or Graphics and Web Design. In two consecutive semesters, students develop the basic skills necessary for starting a career in Visual Planning. Students learn techniques for creating, processing and layout in lessons that range from drawing and computer graphics to photography. The most important graphics and web software are taught with the help of projections and tutorials in a classroom equipped with the latest generation Apple Mac computers. The course provides extensive practice and exercises and students participate in national and international competitions.

MASTER 1st Level Interior Design (600 hours)
A good interior designer is able to subdivide space, recommend appropriate materials and finishes and help clients choose furniture and furnishing accessories for private homes, offices and public areas. This course offers a valid alternative to university education for anyone who wishes to become an interior designer. The course takes place over two consecutive semesters during which the students develop a theoretical and practical foundation for the profession. The principal software programs for design planning are taught in a computer lab with video-projected lessons.

MASTER 1st Level Digital Communication (540 hours)
The course addresses students who wish to combine horizontal competences regarding digital communication with further, vertical and extremely professionalizing, competences. Thus, the course features a common basic module followed by the possibility to select one or more in-depth modules regarding either Marketing and Social Media or Design and development. Each student may define his/her own course of studies by combining the basic module “digital Basics” with one or two of the in-depth modules “Digital Communication” and “Digital Technologies”.

MASTER 2nd Level Interior Design (300 hours)
The Interior Design Master is the natural conclusion of the Annual Course; the students have the possibility to enhance their competences and gain a further certificate.

One semester to extend and complete your skills, learning how to employ the job method gleaned during the Annual Course. Subjects: Design of display spaces, 3D Modelling, Design of decor elements, Advanced techniques of Digital representation, Analysis of types of furnishing, Digital photography, Graphic processing, Lighting Design, Freehand Design, Applied Graphics and Page Layout, Design.


MASTER 2nd Level Graphic Design (300 hours)
Subjects: Page layout, Layout, Illustation, Digital Photography, Printing techniques, Advanced Web Design. Through a targeted programme of practical exercises, laboratory work, participation in competitions, workshops and focus group meetings with writers, editors and illustrators, the skills necessary to gradually approach the world of employment will be developed.

SPECIALIZATION AND PROFESSIONAL COURSES
(150 hours)

The Florence Art Studio offers custom-made, intensive art courses in drawing and painting for students of all levels and backgrounds in the heart of Florence city center.

Taught entirely in English, our intensive Art Program is divided into 6 separate modules covering drawing & painting skills, with each module serving as the foundation for the next. Alternatively, you can choose to take any module as a stand-alone course, from one week to a month or longer.

We help students achieve their goals in the most time-effective way possible through intensive individual training and one on one instruction.

Our students learn how to learn, be patient, disciplined, and objectively self-critical to transform every small obstacle or challenge into a rewarding lesson.

We seek students wishing to learn for self-improvement only. We do not offer academic credit, but we are affiliated with the British Institute of Florence, an accredited institution by the Tuscan government.
