English Accent Tutor:
Based in Washington D.C. English Accent Tutor provides one-on-one accent improvement and accent modification classes. Our in-person accent improvement sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs for improving your speech. We provide accent tutor services in the Washington D.C. metro area, including Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Bethesda, Hyattsville and Silver Spring. At the end of your time with English Accent Tutor, the goal is for you to be able to speak with an improved accent so that others can easily understand your speech.

Accent improvement, or accent modification, allows you to change your accent so that when you speak English, you will sound more like a native English speaker.  Specifically, you will change the sounds, stress patterns and intonation of your speech so that it fits a Standard American English (SAE) accent.

Our Goal:
The goal at English Accent Tutor is to help students improve their speech and gain confidence in the process.

Certified Speech-Language Tutors:
English Accent Tutor accomplishes this by providing Speech-Language Pathologists certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 

Instructors have also been trained in the PESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language) method of accent reduction.

The PESL method of accent modification is an evidence-based method of teaching accent modification techniques for non-native and regional American English speakers.

Classes may be scheduled once or twice a week at your chosen location (home, work, library...)
