Our Students:
Students in the ESL summer programs at S.F.U. are between the ages of 7 to 18 years and come from many different countries including Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, Korea, Germany and Brazil. Students are divided by age and English level for their English classes and by age and gender for their activities so they are with students of their own age and ability for all of their classes and activities.

Our Teachers:

All of the staff working at the Tamwood summer programs have been carefully selected for their enthusiasm, skills, experience and maturity. The English teachers are all qualified and experienced teachers. The activity leaders are all first aid certified and qualified to teach the activities they lead. Many of the activity leaders are university students and all of the staff love working with young people.

Student Residence:
All students living in residence have a private or twin room. Room assignments are made based on age, nationality, and date of registration. Students are housed by age and gender in different buildings or floors with shared facilities on each floor. Students sharing a room will be paired with a student of a different nationality whenever possible. Tamwood staff live with the students to provide 24 hour supervision. Meals are catered by campus dining services and include three nutritious meals and an evening snack every day.

Host Family Accommodation:
Students who are 14 to 18 years of age have the option of staying with a Canadian host family.
