English Immersion Camp in USA

The International School of Minnesota:
The International School of Minnesota (ISM) is a premier private day and boarding school in Eden Prairie MN that provides a residential English Language Learner Summer Camp for Grades 6-12 (for non-native English speakers based in the U.S., and international students from around the world). Established in Minnesota in 1985, ISM is part of the SABIS School Network, which is a worldwide educational organization recognized for its proven global curriculum built over 127 years.

English Language Learning Summer Camp:
• For non-native English speakers / international students entering Grades 6-12
• The minimum age is 11 (provided parents are content with their child living in the residence hall while here). There is no maximum age as long as an older student is entering 12th grade
• 2 & 4-week study options

ELL Summer Camp students participate in exercises and activities that improve their written and spoken English.

A typical camp day begins with classroom activities in the morning followed by afternoon cultural activities organized to practice emerging English skills.

General Camp features include:
- Room and board (3 meals per day)
- 4 hours of English language classes and cultural activities, 5 days per week
- Afternoon cultural exploration

Afternoon Activities:
Afternoon activities are planned in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis / St. Paul) area for enjoyment, to embrace nature, and enhance learning. Activities include:

- Bowling and Lazertag
- Bryant Lake - Picnic, Swimming, and Canoeing
- Como Zoo and Conservatory
- Mall of America - Shopping and Amusement Park
- Mississippi River Cruise
- On-campus tent camping and bonfire
- The Science Museum of Minnesota
