International HR Operations Specialist/HR Generalist (On-Site) About HMT

The Role

As an International HR Operations Specialist at HMT, you will play a crucial role in supporting human resources activities and further business growth, across multiple countries and cultures like the Netherlands, UK, Turkey, Bahrain, Singapore, Australia and more. You will be reporting to and working closely with the International HR Manager to ensure compliance with local employment laws, a positive work environment, an inclusive culture, and a cohesive international team.

The

Job

The International HR Operations Specialist will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Payroll:
    Administer and upload payroll data to external payroll provider and monitor completion of pay cycle
  • Recruitment and Staffing: coordinate international sourcing and recruitment efforts ensuring compliance with local hiring regulations, connect with agencies, extend offers, manage onboarding and off boarding processes, and reporting.
  • Employee Relations:
    Manage sickness process for the Netherlands, promote a positive workplace culture, organize personnel events, write company announcements, prepare/renew contracts, and more.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    Monitor current international compensation and benefits programs and support in development of new ones, map markets to ensure fairness and competitiveness across various regions.
  • Training and Development:
    Support with engagement survey and performance review cycle, coordinate external training activities.
  • Policy Development:
    Update HR policies and procedures that align with local laws and global company standards where needed, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Projects:
    Lead HR international projects, participate in global HMT HR projects.
  • Reporting:
    Provide monthly reporting to internal stakeholders.
We are looking for
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate cultural differences and build relationships with employees at all levels
  • Ideal candidate is located and eligible for work in the Netherlands, accountable, results-oriented, discreet with confidential matters and has strong work ethics
  • HBO or WO education in Human Resources, master’s degree is a plus
  • Strong command of both Dutch and English language, plus Turkish is an advantage
  • Min 3 years of prior HR Generalist experience, experience within an international HR function is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Dutch HR legislation, knowledge of extra international employment laws is an advantage
  • Strong follow up and organizational skills, attention to detail and drive to research cases down to the last detail and work towards their resolution
  • Great command of MSOffice suite, knowledge of ADP payroll system is a plus.
