We are seeking a highly professional and vigilant Armed Security Guard (m/f) to join our team in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting personnel, property and assets and ensuring compliance with Swiss security regulations. This position requires the ability to carry and handle a firearm responsibly, with a focus on de-escalation and preventive measures. Given Switzerland's clear firearms laws, only candidates with the appropriate permits or eligibility will be considered.
Key Resbonsibilitys:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises, monitoring for potential threats, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, coordinating with local authorities as needed.
- Enforce site-specific security protocols while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Handle firearms safely and in accordance with Swiss federal and cantonal laws.
- Perform risk assessments and report any vulnerabilities or incidents to management.
- Assist with other security tasks as required.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field (police or Swiss Armed Forces experience preferred).
- Mandatory basic security certificate, additional security certifications are highly desirable.
- Valid Swiss weapons carry permit (Waffentragbewilligung) or eligibility to obtain one; must comply with all federal and cantonal firearms regulations.
- Clean criminal record and valid work permit (Swiss citizenship or EU/EFTA residency preferred; non-EU candidates must have authorization to work in Switzerland).
- Valid driver's license and comfort with shift work (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Proficiency in German and English (French is a plus); strong communication skills.
- Physical fitness to handle demanding situations, with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond to threats effectively.
- Familiarity with modern security technology and emergency response procedures.
