Position: Veterinary Surgeon (Diplomate of ACVS, ECVS or equivalent) / Senior Researcher (PhD)
Location: Zürich

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian surgeon and senior researcher with a strong interest and background in translational research, focusing on musculoskeletal research, soft tissue surgery, and biomaterials for tissue regeneration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading research projects as a study director, including performing surgeries and developing appropriate animal models.
  • Participating in teaching activities, mentoring, and supervising doctoral candidates.
  • Supporting the organization of seminars and symposia.
  • Preparing and submitting project proposals, grant applications, (GLP-) reports, and publications.
  • Representing the unit at external conferences and meetings.

    • Your profile

    The ideal candidate will have completed veterinary surgical training (e.g., ECVS / ACVS accredited or equivalent) and preferably hold a PhD with research experience. German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn German is expected. The candidate should be motivated, innovative, and interested in developing their own research within the MSRU. Teamwork, flexibility, curiosity, and a commitment to supervising young researchers are essential.
