Account Executive – Manufacturing Industry, Large Enterprise

Join Gartner as an Account Executive focused on large enterprise manufacturing clients in the German part of Switzerland.

About this role

The Account Executive is a field sales role responsible for client retention and growth. Account Executives build trust‑based relationships with C‑Level executives and their teams, ensuring clients receive the value expected from the Gartner relationship while identifying opportunities for stronger value delivery with alternative product offerings.

Territory

Large Enterprise manufacturing clients in the German part of Switzerland.

Responsibilities
  • Drive value delivery with current Gartner clients, ensuring they maximize the value from Gartner services
  • Identify, cultivate, qualify and close client growth opportunities through cross‑sell and upsell
  • Build a pipeline of high‑quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPI goals
  • Take quota responsibility for the assigned territory
  • Manage complex, high‑revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments
  • Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within complex, intangible sales environments
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience selling to and/or influencing C‑Level executives
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to own, manage, and forecast a complex sales process
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
